What do you mean by "download under bios tool the renamer tool" is this a software u need to download separately? or is it some file/folder already in your C: drive? Actually my pc is not going past the bios screen and i want to update my bios through bios flashback port, i think that might help. cause i certainly do not want to end up bricking my motherboard. The download even came with a little renamer script bundled in the ZIP file to. go to users then download the bios updater will then find the flash file. In the bios updater the updater give your drives a f0 f1 f2 f3 letters. leave the bios file in your download folder. ![]() The BIOS file must be named : MSI The extension must be. txt is only info about the bios version you downloaded, don't copy it to the flashdisk. I know this is an old post, but I stumbled on it while searching for the same info. Using the Flash Bios button on the back Extract the ZIP file you downloaded, inside there will be 2 files. the other way is go into bios advance mode to the bios updater. It's because the name on it when you download the bios identifies the version, but the bios needs the file to have the same name every time. the bios will auto update it self.take about 3 min then the port led light will go off. turn your rig off then press the usb flashback button. then put the stick into the lowest usb port with the white box around it (the usb flashback port). Caution-Make sure you have a functional floppy disk with the correct BIOS version for your motherboard. then put the file on a fat formated 32 usb stick. With this utility, you only have to stay in the BIOS menu when you want to update BIOS. then download under bios tool the renamer tool.
